Sound Inter Club Restoration
This is the first of a matched pair of Charles D. Mower-designed sailboats built in 1926 that Hall's will be restoring for a customer. These boats were raced on Long Island Sound until the late 1930s. After that, about 10 of them were brought to Lake George, NY, and were active on the lake for many years until the late 1980s when the last two were broken up.
Of the original 28 built, it seems only 5 of the Sound Inter Clubs exist today – two of which are being restored by Hall's. There is a strengthening initiative to re-introduce all 5 remaining boats to Lake George. Learn more about the Sound Inter Club at www.soundinterclub.org
